We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual with food ingredient experience to join the Food Ingredient team as Application Team Leader, Bakery.
Your Focus – As an Application Team Leader, Bakery, you will be responsible for leading and managing bakery customer projects. It is a customer-facing and team-leader role. You will need to work closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Product Managers to convert Innovation, Consumer Insights, Market Trends, and Project Briefs into solutions for the customers, their brands, and their consumers. You will also support the enabling process of local and regional business initiatives.
This is a Gurgaon, India based position and will report to ISC (India Subcontinent) Application Leader.
How You Will Contribute

Lead bakery projects in development of new solutions and application or modification of existing products, recipes and/or processes based on needs of our customers as well as enlarge IFF solution and concept pool for future business opportunities.

Provide timely technical support and knowledge, using emulsification, stabilizing ingredients including hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, enzyme, protein and other functional ingredient into bakery applications, to internal and external customers with prioritization based on customer status and project business impact. Specifically:

Professional and timely responses in line with agreed timeframes.

Accurate and detailed technical project work and associated reports.

Cost effective approaches and solutions to technical support projects.

Run laboratory trials on formulations of various bakery products, as required.

Ensure all activities are in line with IFF policies, business strategies and Global Innovation Rules as well as safe, hygienic and efficient day-to-day operations of the Bakery laboratory and facilities.

Regularly update and maintain technical self-note into relevant IFF databases that the company may develop and introduce from time to time.

Guide and mentor team members.

Commitment to all company’s policies, rules and regulations and IFF quality and continuous improvement programs.

Attend and contribute to relevant knowledge meetings and various Company local and regional conferences, trade exhibitions and business meetings where required.

Assist and support line manager for projects, Technical-Service-Requests development, project and lab management.

Share and present IFF products’ knowledge and application technology to internal and external customers.

Help to troubleshoot in design formulation and processing related issues.

Conduct assigned technical related projects with minimal supervision and any other tasks or projects assigned by the Application Leader.
What you will need to be successful
-
B.Tech or M.Tech Degree in Food Technology or any other relevant discipline.

Minimum 10-12 years of experience handling product development in bakery category (Breads, Cakes, biscuits, fillings, Fats & oil) or any similar role within food manufacturing / food ingredients industry.

Experience in Team management will be an added advantage.

Strong Knowledge of Emulsifiers and Hydrocolloids.

Knowledge of bakery raw materials, processing and regulations governing the use of these ingredients within the food and bakery industries.

Strong knowledge of bakery applications, formulation, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting.

Strong project management and experimental design skills.

Good familiarity with Microsoft suite apart from Application related IT System or Application.

Logical, methodical, analytical thought process capable with accuracy and high attention to details.

Proactive and self-motivation, ability to engage across all levels.

Strong project management skills, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.

Ability to travel mainly within India Subcontinent region.
