We are looking to hire a Technical Project Leader- Tea in our Beverages team based in Bangalore:

Job Purpose


Work on beverages innovation/ renovation/ Value improvement projects for both product and process development

Lead innovation projects as technical project leader, Planning and execution of experiments.

Superior Innovations

  • Technical Project Leader for formulation design work for innovations & cost saving initiatives to deliver superior and consumer winning products OTIF
  • Responsible formulation prototyping at pilot scale and deployment at main plant for scale up.
  • Responsible for specification of formulation, process, pack and Quality Assurance regimes to support / enforce these specs agreed technical action standards.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies to establish shelf-life of new products and/or intervene through formulation/recipes to enhance shelf-life.
  • Use appropriate measurement techniques (either existing or develop new techniques) to characterize key attributes of the product
  • Drive world class project management in line with QII for all key projects.
  • Understanding key consumer and market insights and translating them into product properties & performance
  • Anticipate assessment and minimization of environmental, safety, regulatory, PR and competitive challenges
  • Develop technical expertise in relevant technologies as applicable to beverages.
  • Build and maintain strong networks with cross functional (Brand, CMI, SC etc) teams

Value Improvement

  • Deliver 5S product logic target for the year.
  • Identify potential areas of savings and drive them for implementation. Prepare roadmap for margin improvement.

Capability

  • Track moves by key competition & local players by country and carry out competition benchmarking
  • Responsible for risk management, claims and legal/regulatory compliance with local & regional requirements.
  • Develop capability to be able to produce finished product of the desired quality with a range of raw materials within the specified range.
  • Prepare technical dockets for transferring technologies to SC / factories.
  • Continuously look for / experiment with new technologies /recipes to develop products that offer tangible, new benefits to the consumer.

Education


B. Tech. (Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/Dairy Technology) Or Masters /

M. Sc. / M Tech Food Science & Tech. / Chemical Engineering / Food engineering with relevant experience.

Required Experience


8-10 years of experience, preferably beverages sector experience from reputed industry/organisation.

Experience in Tea, Coffee and Herbal Infusions desirable
