About the Job – Senior Executive QHSE – Swiggy Chennai – Food Technologist
Senior Quality Executive Staples (Pulses, Cereals, Dry Fruits & Flours, Spices food products)
Location : Chennai
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for quality, food safety & regulatory compliance of all Private Label Staples – Pulses, Cereals, Dry Fruits & Flours, Spices food products.
- Responsible for the quality control aspects of Raw Material Receipt to finished goods Dispatch at supplier locations (Staple processing unit) & ensuring of documentation for Raw Material, Packing Material & Finished goods.
- Develop product sampling and testing plan to ensure Product quality through routine and systemic quality programs like periodic auditing, external testing etc.
- Visit markets for preliminary quality checks of staples & provide necessary feedback to the Category team.
- Ensure root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive measures for all deviations & customer complaints.
- Conduct and document Mock recalls at defined frequency & Ensure implementation of Traceability procedure.
- Drive FSMS implementation at all Supplier locations & responsible for maintaining Quality assurance, communication and own documentation as per Quality and Food safety management systems like FSSC 22000, FSSAI etc.
- Responsible for Conduct pre-assessment of facilities through Quality & Food Safety Audits prior to startup of the supplier.
- Travel across facilities to ensure quality processes & Product Standards. Develop, train supplier QA team continuously through awareness trainings, knowledge sharing and follow up.
- Handholding of Supplier QA Team for implementation of Quality & Food Safety requirements while launching new products & new processes.
- Responsible for conducting the Quality Benchmarking to understand competitors product & to identify the improvement opportunities in product quality standards & suggest required changes.
Desired key Skills:
- Must have basic understanding on staples processing, quality assurance, Private labelling and vendor audits.
- Capable of implementing and maintaining Environmental, Hygiene, GMP, HACCP, Quality & Food Safety systems and certifications Plans and prepare audit activities based on risk assessments
- Should have Knowledge on Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PPT.
- Process oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates a positive “can-do” excellent teamwork attitude with strong communication/ information sharing skills – verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to all stake holders.
- Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work in a team environment to consistently achieve results & achievement.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal stake holders and suppliers to meet business Quality objectives.
- Team player who can collaborate across multiple functional areas
- An adaptable individual who remains focused on delivering a long-term plan
Qualifications:
- BE /B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc –Food Technology/ Food Science/ Food Processing Engineering/ Agriculture (Any UG/PG related to Food)
- Minimum of 4 years, out of which at least 2 Years direct working experience related to the Food Industry (Preferable Staples).
