Job Purpose:
In line with company’s conviction of delivering good quality experience consistently, it is essential to have a continuous monitoring programme in place for ensuring compliance to defined quality & food safety standards, systems & processes in ingredients, packaging materials and manufacturing & distribution facilities. Essentially the monitoring programme covers vendors supplying ingredients & packaging materials, contract packers & own manufacturing units and finally the distribution centres.
order to drive this rigorous monitoring system, it is essential to have people who has a strong quality mind-set, experience in manufacturing process & systems (Dairy & Bakery) and fair knowledge of applicable regulations. All these should be accompanied with an analytical bend of mind, an eye for details & capability of demonstrating the company’s quality & food safety mission & vision through every action
Key Job Responsibilities:
Manufacturing unit & distribution centre audit:
• Conducting Quality & food safety audits at manufacturing units & distribution centres to verify compliance to defined standards in process & systems
• Assessment of compliance to applicable regulatory requirements at manufacturing units & distribution centres
• Identifying key risks to quality, food safety & regulatory compliance in the manufacturing & distribution process • Assisting units & distribution centres in upgrading their systems, processes & infrastructures
towards addressing the inadequacies
• Establishing correlation between process & system non-compliances to the consumer feedback & quality scores which in turn would facilitate in addressing key issues impacting product quality & food safety.
• Communication of audit findings, non-compliances & key risks to unit or distribution centre management, regional operation & quality teams with adequate objective & documentary evidences.
• Reporting of audit non-compliances, risks & findings to all stakeholders within stipulated period after completion of audit
• Follow up with unit or distribution centre management & regional team/manufacturing for timely submission of corrective action plan with timelines & responsibilities
• Sensitize stakeholders on critical non-compliances
Vendor quality audit
• Auditing the manufacturing process, quality & food safety systems & regulatory compliance for existing & new vendors of ingredients & packaging materials
• Assisting the vendors in upgrading their systems & processes towards addressing the inadequacies
• Communicating audit findings & critical issues with recommendations to purchase & other stake holders
• MIS, follow up, trend analysis on vendor audits, approval, performance and gap closure
Approval for new unit, line & product
• For assessing the gaps in proposed new units/lines & reporting the same to appropriate stakeholders at the construction stage
• In ensuring that the new units/lines or products are as per defined requirements & standards and the systems & processes adopted in the facility are capable of continuously meeting the quality & food safety standards of the company.
Market quality evaluation-
• Participating in market sample collection and evaluation in order to determine the quality standards against top competition brands
• Reporting gaps & assisting units in linking those gaps to process, systems & infrastructure and closure of those gaps.
Process improvement initiatives
• Analysis of quality performance metrics of manufacturing units & initiate appropriate process improve easures & projects to address the gaps ess the gaps
• Tracking the progress on a regular basis & provide inputs to units for successful completion of projects & initiatives within stipulated timeline
Technical:
1. Food safety systems with ISO-22000 requirements
2. Dairy/Food Technology, Chemistry/Microbiology
3. General manufacturing process & systems
4. Root Cause analysis & corrective action planning
5. Presentation skill
6. Conversant with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), data analysis

Education Qualification: B.Tech/Postgraduate in Food Technology /Dairy Technology with working experience in bakery & dairy industry
Experience (in years): Min 10 years of experience in dairy & food manufacturing facilities systems & processes. Experience in quality & food safety systems audit is preferred.
