Designation: R&D Sr.Executive – Product Development
Direct Report to – HoD- Product and Process Development
Main Purpose of Job – Sippoer in small or medium R&D project swith a high impact on the business. Assist in managing the project on the R&D/development side in alignment with Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) initiative. Interact proactively with the other functions, especially the business lead and operations to ensure the overall project objectives.

Project Management
‘- Deliver product(s)/process(es)/system(s)/solution(s) with defined quality at defined time and cost (when applicable)
– Provide continuous support to ensure the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture and the context of this project and future projects
– Support in End to End projects’ management in NPDI that are within timelines and project costs.
– Stakeholder Management
– Acquiring, generating and recording effectively new knowledge
Product Development
– New product development as per the Project brief (Innovation/ Renovation)
– Innovation concept development to continuosly feed to the innovation pipeline for the category
– Identifying new opportunity areas, collaboration with external partners in order to fuel.build the innovation pipeline so as to be leading in the category
Resource Management
– Effective resource planning- Ensure the resources are available for the project as required
– Vertical and horizontal communication
– In a matrix like organization: Manage the resources (including budget) allocated to the project
– In a “projectized” organization: deliver project deliverables as per timelines
Networking
– Enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, within the NPTC Food and across R&D Units, Technical and Business Units and with external partners
– is well versed with Project Management fundamentals and actively seek knowledge from external community
– Create synergies through effective networking with business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office, external partners (Open Innovation)
– Build long term relationship with external partners (3rd parties)
– Participate in the selection of external partners
Stakeholder Management
– Manage among stakeholders
– Vertical and horizontal communication
– Ability to simplify complex information into simple concepts
Key Relationships Internal to Nestle Group: (shared / conflicting interests)
– Relevant SBU’s/Businesses/Markets/Zones
– Relevant R&D Units, NRC
– Relevant HQ Units (CT-IAT, Regulatory, CT-PAT, CO-SHE,CO-Eng, etc)
– Government (e.g. Regulatory, Inspection services)
Key Experiences: What experiences are key to success to this job?
– Bachelors / Masters Food Technology
Total 5+ years of experience
– Has a minimum 3 years Product Develeopment & Project Management experience
– Has a minimum of 2 years experience in R&D
– Has a minimum 1 year experience in Operations and/or technical/commercial function in SBU (through missions or assignments)
– Has demonstrated the courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems
– Has proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees.)
Knowledge: Nestlé Corporate/ Functional/ Market / Business/ Organizational

– Principles
– Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles
– Customer and consumer understanding
– Knowledge in food technology and relevant technology platforms
– Knowledge in engineering, quality, finance/costing, marketing, IP and contracting
– Understanding of Regulatory Affairs and compliance
– Understanding of internal decision mechanisms
– Project Management competencies: Has followed the training curriculum or equivalent, consistent with PMOBK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). May go for PMi certification for PMP if desired
