What are the Key Deliverables in this role?
Financial Outcomes
- Cost of poor quality & wastage reduction: Tracking Cost of poor quality, reporting on regular basis and ensure testing on time and releasing of results.
Customer Service
- Customer/Consumer Complaints: Monitor the customer & consumer complaints, prepare detailed root cause analysis and mitigation plan to be prepared for genuine complaint.
- Checking for any complaints or Out of specs in testing and conducting RCA and taking CA.
Internal Processes
- Daily reporting of Quality KPI.
- Responsible for ensuring food safety systems are in place.
- Responsible for GMP and GHP in the unit.
- Responsible for executing Traceability and recall data requirement
- Ensuring Hygiene through-out the plant and personal hygiene.
- Responsible for closure of action points derived in the audits related to quality.
- Ensures compliances during External Audit Management system.
- Responsible for creating annual calendar for training and execution of the same for shop floor team on GMP and quality controls.
- Responsible for co-coordinating with customer departments like Quality Assurance, Functional departments like stores and production.
- Responsible for SAP related activities in process quality function.
- Should have good knowledge and responsible for preparing functional and system SOP.
- Responsible for planning and monitoring of day-to-day activities of the Physical and chemical sections of Quality Control.
- Monitor the lab with respect to adherence to GLP and review of various documents like SOP’s, specifications, method of analysis and the day to day analytical data.
- Responsible for sampling, analysis and release of raw material, Packaging materials, in process Semi-finished samples, finished products etc.
Innovation and Learning
- Conducting training to the shop floor team on the process, GMP and Food safety.
- Responsible to develop and sustain Food Safety culture.
- Taking small initiatives / Kaizens to solve the problem.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?
- Master’s/bachelor’s degree in food technology and or equivalent life sciences background
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in quality management/ New product development in similar food processing units.
What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?
- Demonstrated knowledge on Quality and food safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders in the manufacturing facility.
- Skills in chemical analytical testing.
