Manager / Sr. Manager Quality Assurance (Hyderabad Local)

Experience 10-15 Years (4 years + Confectionery)

Educational Qualification: Post graduate/graduate in food technology or MSc. Chemistry

Function: Quality

Location: Hyderabad (CMU)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead quality team and work cross-functionally to ensure that all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Quality & Food Safety Management System and other relevant food safety standards across all contract manufacturing units and their consistent compliances i.e. HACCP, Traceability, GMP, Regulatory/ Statuary compliances etc.
  • Lead food safety risk assessments and develop corrective action plans in response to non-conformances or audit findings.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches such as SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies to drive improvements in quality performance.
  • Lead the integration of digital tools and platforms to streamline quality management processes, including document control, audit management, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and compliance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain digital dashboards for real-time monitoring of key quality metrics (KPIs), enabling quick decision-making and transparent communication across the organization.
  • Foster a strong quality-first mind set across all levels of the organization, emphasizing the importance of food safety and quality in every task.
  • Develop and implement training programs aimed at increasing awareness of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance among all employees.
  • Create opportunities for employees at all levels to participate in quality initiatives, such as quality circles, Kaizen events, and suggestion programs.
  • Address customer complaints related to product quality and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead / support NPD trials in coordination with R&D & site teams.
  • Support/ coordinate with manufacturing team for scheduling and execution of production planning with CMUs.
Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of Quality & Food Safety Management systems such as HACCP, FSSC 22K, GFSI, and BRC standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of quality issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using data-driven methods for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail to ensure all processes meet stringent quality and food safety standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
