JOB OVERVIEW
As the Product Manager for Innovation, Technology and Quality, you will be leading the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) programs as designed and as consumed for brands within the business.
In this position, you will support key business initiatives and functional priorities by partnering with our Business, Supply Chain, and global ITQ teams, along with external partners, to champion quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
You will have the unique opportunity to leverage your knowledge, skills and expertise to impact products from concept to great tasting finished products.
The right candidate for this role will be solution orientated and be able to navigate and influence across our organization while championing food safety and quality to help our business grow.
The projects you manage in this role will provide you with a high level of cross-functional exposure and will accelerate your ability to champion remarkable products and solutions.
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop deep FSQ and platform business knowledge, project management skills, influencing skills, and the ability to advance technical possibilities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead quality, food safety and regulatory strategies for General Mills businesses
- Champion consumer first product design and quality as manufactured throughout the product life cycle. Ensure plants are capable of consistently delivering products within specification.
- Lead product quality and food safety improvement efforts; Establish & drive quality improvement strategies and goals.
- Monitor and identify quality and food safety improvement opportunities leveraging manufacturing, customer and consumer data, determine next actions and influence the change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related field
- 10+ years of Food Safety and Quality experience
- Strong understanding of statistical process control and application for product quality.
- Demonstrated ability to develop remarkable solutions and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse cross-functional teams as well as with external resources including suppliers and external supply chain partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong manufacturing background and a strong knowledge of Quality and Food Safety systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to experiment, assess risks and make data-based recommendations and decisions.
- Strong productive discourse and conflict management skills
