Job description
Role & responsibilities
Sampling and analysis of Raw materials, packing materials and, In process, Intermediate and Finished products.
Responsible for Calibration of all QC instruments.
Method validation and standardization & Maintained chemical inventory.
To carry out shelf life study testing for raw materials and finished goods.
Retention study of RM.
Testing of vendor development samples of RM /PM.
Accountable for the accuracy and validity of all test results.
To demonstrate good judgment on batch quality based on sensory evaluation.
To make decisions regarding pass/reject of ingredient and product lots.
Experienced with ingredient characteristics such as, bulk and tap density, particle size, purity, moisture content, pH, Acidity.
Implementation of new & revised testing as per standard testing procedures provided by R&D.
To provide hands on training on instruments and methods for new chemists.
Ability to trouble-shoot problem areas within the QC function and recommend solutions.
Summarise & compare all testing, rejection % result to know vendor performance. & to raise CIR for major rejections.
To conduct regular inspections and audits to identify deviations & Lab compliance in all CPS.
Addressing supplier-related quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Participate in the investigation of customer complaints.
To conduct daily shop floor FG analysis wrt product and pack parameters.
Randomly verification of daily on going process and validation of Recipes.
Quality KPIs
1.Handling Consumer Complaint
2.Consumer Quality Index (CQI) monthly activity.
a. Receipt of CQI samples (75nos) , Maintaining records in excel / hard copy where required , Coding , Allocating in portal ,Measuring weights , Dimensions , Stack height .
b. Evaluating samples as per code in presence of CQA representative
c. Finalization in the portal and closure
Preferred candidate profile
1-2 years of experience as a Lab Chemist in Food Processing/FMCG

Education
B.Tech/B.E. in Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology, B.Sc in Food Technology
