Job Title: Malster

Location: Dharuhera

Qualification: M.sc (Microbiology) / B. Tech (Food Technology)/M.Sc. Biotechnology)

Year of experience: Minimum 6 Yrs of Experience

Job Purpose: To ensure malt produced at Patiala is as per the requirements in the Quality Manuals issued by CTC.

Job Responsibilities:

A. Quality:

1. Follow Quality Manuals issued by CTC

2. No non-conforming malt supplied to breweries without written agreement of Patiala Maltster in advance.

3. Ensure frequency of analysis at all malting producing for UB is carried out as specified in the UB Malting Manual. Manage validation system of analytical accuracy and resolve causes of any inaccurate analyses.

4. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of critical lab equipment. (target zero downtime)

B. Maintenance of Records

Maintain daily records of

Raw materials, Packaging Materials, In-process product, Finished Product. Highlight non-conformity to Maltster & Unit Head. Develop corrective & preventive action plan in consultation with the site tech team.
Maintain records of Hygiene Audit, Packaging Quality, quality complaints.
Send Reports to CTC as per schedule given by CTC

B. Unit Complaints

Attend to quality complaints on Patiala malt within 48 Hrs of receipt of the complaint. Maintain complete records and close complaint within 10 days.

D. Self & Subordinate Development:

Give on-the-job training to subordinates
Arranging quality control meetings from time to time with process, Laboratory and utility team and workmen for meeting quality standards.
Identify training programmes for self.

E. Calibration:

· Calibrate and maintain all inspection measuring and test equipments with the help of NPL calibrated master equipments.
