What you’ll be doing:

JOB PURPOSE (GENERAL NATURE/ OVERVIEW):- Being a flavorist requires creativity, in addition to an above-average sense of taste and smell. Flavorists have a good memory for scents. Motivation, patience, and a willingness to experiment are also important. Flavorists must have the ability to work well in a team environment, because they often rely on others to give them feedback on flavors.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Working in the lab to create flavor systems using various scientific applications and creative thinking.

Collaboration cross-functionally within the organization to accomplish business-critical initiatives.

Perform daily tasks and manage assigned projects.

Create new flavours creations or modify existing flavors to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development for multiple flavor types.

Contribute to discussions of research plans, sensory results, making experimental observations and making connections to related, but separate technologies.

Assist Flavourist while creating matching flavours for B2B client.

Transformation of existing flavours as per requirement.

Familiarity of taste and odor profiling skills of flavours product to describe it in flavor.

Make sure that delivered flavor product is in under the regulation and its perfect for client basis.

Prepare flavor samples as requested for customer briefs, applications need, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc.

COMPETENCIES: Understanding of chemistry, Strong Olfactory & Gustatory Senses, Creativity, Sensifying, Analytical skills, Intuitive.

QUALIFICATION: Graduate or Postgraduate with Engineering/Diploma/Management (Food Technology, Biotechnology & Flavor Technology) or relevant field.

EXPERIENCE/ INGREDIENTS: 3-7 years of relevant experience in flavor industry, Chemical Industry.

SKILLS: Flavor creation and evaluation, research & development, HACCP, GMP, GLP, Analysis exposure – GC, HPLC, UV, Karl Fischer Titration, Soxhlet fat Analysis.

OTHER FACTORS (IF ANY):

  • A degree in food science, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and Flavours ingredients.
  • Good sensory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of flavour chemistry and sensory science.
  • Experience in flavour creation or related fields such as product development, food processing, or research and development.
  • Creativity and innovation in developing new and unique flavour concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Application-oriented approach.
  • Willingness and ability to learn fast
  • Able to work independently
  • Adapt to changes and priorities due to customer requests.
