About the Job – Quality Specialist – Tirumala Milk Products Rangareddy Telangana
The Quality Specialist ensures that all dairy products meet the highest quality and safety standards before reaching customers. This role involves monitoring, inspecting, and testing products and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The Quality Specialist plays a key role in implementing quality control systems, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conducting audits to achieve consistent product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) in the production process, including pasteurization, fermentation, and packaging.
- Maintain records of quality inspections and testing data for audits and traceability.
- Testing and Analysis:
- Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of milk and dairy products.
- Analyze test results and work with production teams to address deviations from standards.
- Utilize analytical equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, and spectrophotometers.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as HACCP, GMP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and other relevant certifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for quality control activities, including SOPs, training records, and testing procedures.
- Assist with regulatory inspections and audits.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) to address non-conformances and implement necessary changes.
- Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and food safety practices.
- Customer and Supplier Interaction:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality standards are met.
- Handle customer complaints related to product quality and work on resolutions.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the dairy industry.
- Certifications: FSSC , ISO 22000, or other relevant food safety certifications preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proven knowledge in FSSC 22000 ,Version 0.6 documentation
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
