Position: Assistant Manager – Quality Regulatory Compliance
Major duties & Responsibilities –
Sanitary Design, Sanitation Programs, GMP and Pest control Management:
- Oversees and manage the sanitary designs standards, food plant sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices and Pest control team to ensure compliance to all Hershey Standard Operating Procedures & sanitary guidelines.
- Monitor Sanitation and Pest control vendor reports and ensure all action items are being added to the CAPA programs and are closed out and verified.
- Lead ,manage, develop the Sanitization designs, standards, systems and procedures for the equipment and infrastructure at the facility.
- Develops and drives sanitation strategy at plant level. Evaluate sanitation investment opportunities for capital planning process.
- Be a key liaison working with the local Engineering team on execution, planning and engaging operations resources to minimize or enhance project impact to daily operations for all sanitation projects.
- Trains, schedules and supervises the sanitation team to maintain the plant and equipment in a sanitary manner.
- Lead and participates in regular meetings with plant management to discuss quality and sanitation improvements.
Food Safety Programs Implementations:
- Periodic food safety assessment and analysis of beverages, fruit drinks, juices, soymilks, ketchups products.
- Plan and manage food safety programs and process for beverages (Hershey & 3P) to meet company standards. Verify FSSAI & FSSC complaince, facing external audits, closing audit Non Conformances and submission of NC’s Closure reports, implementing CAPA, Monthly KPI reporting.
- Documentation and follows up corrective action plan closures. Collect data and compiles report that reflects trends and that identify potential problems.
- Collaboration with cross functional teams to instill a safety culture in the organization.
- Understand production issues and mitigate critical issues escalated; Guide team to resolve day to day to operational issues and own the SAP release and data reporting of Hershey India production.
Process Quality Assurance:
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery ( Hershey & 3P process).
- Periodic Inspection and analysis of beverages like fruit drinks. juices, soymilks & ketchups, powder blending process.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs in blending and packing operations.
- Facilitate proactive solutions to operation team by collecting and analyzing quality data.
Personal Capability Development:
- Responsible and committed for the training and development plan for self.
- Be the ‘owner’ for continuous growth under the supervision of the QRC Head
Key KPIs:
- Sanitary design improvements

- FSSAI & FSSC compliance
- Audit compliance
- Global quality food safety audit
- Reduction in customer complaints
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of technology fundamentals
- Deep understanding of food safety and Quality
- Understanding of FMCG business and financial understanding
- Experience in sanitation standards, project quality & food safety, process quality, supplier technical assurance, quality management system and regulatory compliance.
- Plant with Beverage handling experience preferred & strong base in sanitation/design of CIP Systems.
Skills:
- Hands on knowledge on sanitation designs standards and programs.
- Experience in food beverages with aseptic packaging operations.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge on Quality Management Standards appropriate to the business with experience of their application in a large scale-manufacturing and packing environment.
- Exposure/ knowledge on FSSAI and other relevant regulations of the industry.
- Experience on use of statistical tools and their applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good communicator, sound administrator with very good working knowledge of computer.
- Should be conversant with latest best practices on quality management.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with various functions across the organization.
- Exposure in handling global clients with strong leadership skills for managing the internal teams.
- Demonstrated change management abilities, including conflict resolution skills.
Education – Graduate/ Post Graduate in Food Technology/ Microbiology.
Experience – 4-6 Years of relevant experience in Quality/ manufacturing function in a food & beverage industry of good repute.
