Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and policies for seafood products.
– Conduct regular inspections and audits of seafood processing plants to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
– Monitor and evaluate the overall quality performance of seafood products.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
– Stay updated with government regulations and food safety rules about seafood products.
– Provide guidance and training to plant personnel on quality control procedures.
– Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and implement corrective actions.
– Manage and maintain quality documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
– Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of raw materials used in seafood processing.
– Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in seafood quality assurance.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the seafood industry.
– Strong knowledge of seafood quality control procedures, plant inspection protocols, and regulatory requirements.
– Familiarity with government regulations and food safety rules related to seafood products.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Effective communication and leadership abilities.
– Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
– Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
