About the Job – Asst. Manager – QA (Mumbai) – Allana Group Mumbai Maharashtra

Role & responsibilities
  • Onsite Food Safety and Quality Audits of the supply chain.
  • Artwork Approval as per FSSAI, Legal Metrology, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination with External Laboratory for Analysis.
  • Customer Complaint Management and Coordination.
  • MIS Reports Preparation (QA Review).
  • Food Safety and Regulatory document preparation.
  • Supporting Sites for External Audit Preparations.
  • Onsite Food Safety & Quality Training.
  • Customer Questionnaire Submission.
  • Coordination in Regulatory licensing functions.
  • Any other assignment given by the reporting manager
Preferred candidate profile
  • Between 3 to 5 years in a Similar Role in the Food Industry
  • Experience in meat and meat products (or allied lines like poultry, and fisheries) would be an added advantage.
  • Experienced in FSSAI Regulatory requirements (Licensing & Registration, Food Product Standards and Food Additives, Artwork Approval, Contaminants, Toxin and Residues, Food Recall Procedures, Food Ingredients, Labelling and Display Regulations, Legal Metrology, etc).
  • Good experience & knowledge in Hygiene, QA/QC/QS, Food Safety, (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP), New Product Development (NPD), Specifications & SOP development, Quality-GMP-Hygiene & Food Safety Training.
  • Experience in Halal is desirable.
  • In short, must have proficiency, good experience, and enthusiasm in independently handling the Regulatory QA, Food Safety, Customer Complaints Handling, Artwork Review, documentation, and independently handling the QA function & inter-department coordination.
  • Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Audit Skills, Documentation skills, good written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, very proficient in IT skills (i.e., MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel), coordination, good temperament, ability to work for an extended time under certain requirement, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Very fluent in English language (Written and Spoken).
  • Lead Auditor (LA) in FSSC V6, QMS, BRC, ISO 22000 would be preferable.
Qualifications – 
B.Sc in Food Technology / MS/M.Sc(Science) in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, M.Tech in Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology
