About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Department as an Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in food quality management, food safety, and compliance. As an intern in our quality team, you will gain hands-on experience working with industry-leading professionals in the food production and processing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Inspection and Testing:
Assist in monitoring and inspecting raw materials, packaging materials, ingredients, and finished products to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards.
Participate in conducting quality tests, including sensory, physical, and chemical evaluations of food products.
Record and report any deviations from quality standards and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Food Safety Compliance:
Support the team in ensuring compliance with local and international food safety regulations (such as FSSAI, HACCP, etc.).
Assist in maintaining documentation related to food safety, hygiene practices, and quality audits.
Help in the development and implementation of food safety protocols, including monitoring cleanliness, temperature controls, and hygiene standards.
- Internal Audits and Inspections:
Support in preparing for and participating in internal quality audits.
Assist in conducting inspections of production areas, packaging, and storage facilities to ensure they adhere to quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Help with the preparation and organisation of quality documentation and reports, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
Maintain records of quality checks, non-conformance, corrective actions, and improvements.
- Learning Opportunities:
Gain hands-on experience in quality control processes, including testing, inspection, and compliance.
Learn about industry standards and regulations for food safety and quality.
Develop skills in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving within the food production environment.
Exposure to the various aspects of the food industry and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Eligibility:
Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, B.Tech. Food Technology or Masters: Food Technology/ Food & Nutrition
Strong attention to detail and a keen interest in food safety and quality management.
Good analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with quality management systems (an advantage).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
