Key Responsibilities and accountabilities of the Role:
  • Serve as the Quality Assurance (QA) in charge for the assigned region, representing and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct a minimum of 25 audits at CCD outlets, 5 audits at CDX outlets, and audits of vendors, warehouses, and cold storage facilities as required, every month.
  • Prepare monthly reports on audit findings and review them with stakeholders, ensuring implementation of corrective actions from all audits.
  • Conduct weekly checks on food specifications and sensory evaluations for both food and beverages at CCD and CDX outlets.
  • Provide training to the team as needed to enhance skills and ensure consistency in quality assurance practices.
  • Monitor primary and secondary logistics vehicle temperatures in the region, escalate any deviations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Conduct vendor audits and verify product processes to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor secondary logistics vehicle temperatures and escalate any deviations for prompt action.
Functional Skills required to execute the role:
  • Quality Assurance Management: Ability to oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards in the assigned region.
  • Audit Management: Proficiency in conducting audits at CCD and CDX outlets, as well as vendor audits and inspections of warehouses and cold storage facilities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Skills in preparing comprehensive reports on audit findings and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Capability to provide training to the team to enhance skills and ensure consistency in quality assurance practices.
  • Logistics Monitoring: Ability to monitor primary and secondary logistics vehicle temperatures, escalate deviations, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance in all aspects of operations.
  • Sensory Evaluation: Skills in conducting sensory evaluations for both food and beverages to maintain product quality.

Technical Skills required to execute the role:
  • Food Safety and Quality Standards: In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards applicable to the food and beverage industry.
  • Auditing Techniques: Familiarity with auditing techniques and methodologies to assess compliance with quality standards.
  • Sensory Evaluation: Understanding of sensory evaluation techniques to assess food and beverage quality.
  • Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Excel or data analysis software for analyzing audit findings and generating reports.
Qualification & Experience: Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance – Coffee Day Global Bengaluru, Mumbai
  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as Master’s or MBA may be advantageous.
  • Certifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), or Quality Auditing would be beneficial.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience in conducting audits, monitoring quality standards, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems.

Must be willing to Travel extensively within the given region
