Officer-Quality / Sr.Officer- Quality / Asst Manager – Quality
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure that all loose grocery staples (rice, wheat, pulses, flour, sugar, etc.) received, stored, and dispatched from the warehouse meet defined quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out quality inspection of inbound stock (moisture, infestation, purity, grain size, color, odor, foreign matter).
- Verify supplier quality certificates and cross-check with sampling results. to ensure the regulatory requirements like FSSAI, Legal Metrology or any other relevant regulations which come in force from time to time.
- Monitor storage hygiene & conditions (temperature, humidity, stacking, pest control, FIFO/FEFO).
- Conduct periodic checks of stock during storage to prevent deterioration or infestation.
- Inspect outbound dispatches to ensure only cleared lots move to stores.
- Record and maintain inspection reports, stock quality logs, and vendor feedback.
- Highlight quality deviations and coordinate with purchase/vendors/DC team for corrective action.
- Support in internal/external audits related to food safety.
- Handle the customer complaints if any and help in minimizing the similar complaints by doing CAPA
Candidate Profile:Experience: 4+ Years
Industry: Preferably from FMCG, Bakery, Dairy, Grocery or any Food Industry
Qualification: B.Tech- Food Technology/ BSc-Agriculture/B.Sc Biotechnology
Key Skills: Proficient in Quality Record Management , Process Orientation & Product Knowledge. & Regulatory aspects.
