NDDB CALF LTD (NCL) is India’s leading and most trusted, state-of-the-art Food & Feed testing laboratory. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). NCL’s multi-disciplinary testing facility offers a wide range of services, including chemical, biological and animal genetics analysis. NCL specializes in fulfilling the testing requirements of the dairy industry and supporting national initiatives related to food safety challenges. Testing services are offered in milk & milk products, feed, food & agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, fats, oils, honey, cereals, pulses, fish, meat, spices, ready-eat, bakery, confectionary, Herbals, ayurvedic products etc. and water for compositional, nutritional, microbiological parameters, pesticides, antibiotics, heavy metals, mycotoxins and dioxins etc. The laboratory has been accredited under ISO 17025 since 2013 and ISO/IEC 17043 since 2021, NCL currently offers about 10000 tests across various fields. It has obtained recognitions from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in 2017, the Export Inspection Council (EIC) in 2018 and the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in 2019. Moreover, NCL is serving as a Referral Laboratory (RL) and National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for milk & milk products under the ambit of FSSAI.
