About the Job – Quality – Head / Corporate QA – Captain Fresh Bengaluru Karnataka India
Job Responsibilities:
- Owning up to the entire piece of quality assurance and delivering a risk-free product to our customers.
- Developing and implementing quality, food safety, and sustainability standards
- Establishing QA objectives and tracking their achievement
- Performing vendor evaluations, vendor audits, and periodic evaluations of the suppliers
- Training and mentoring QA personnel
- Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing budgets, and monitoring expenditures.
- Take ownership of the QA documentation (control and distribution).
- Planning and conducting internal audits.
- To assist HR in the recruitment process.
- Liaison with external agencies relating to QA
- Preparing reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing.
- Willing to travel extensively.
- Implementing a technology-based QA monitoring system for online as well as offline documentation
- Stakeholder management with sales, production, and operations is necessary for the smooth functioning of the department.
Skills:
- Effective communication in English (written and spoken) and other languages.
- Attention to detail/root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead QA personnel and ability to get along with others.
- creative or analytical thinking and making sound judgments based on logical conclusions.
Technical Skills:
- Well versed in implementation of ISO/HACCP/Food Safety (GFSI) schemes, viz. FSSC and BRC, etc).
- Good exposure in Sustainability standards (Environment, Health and safety),
Responsible sourcing, ASC, MSC COC, BAP, etc).
- Undergone external training in Quality, Food Safety and Sustainability Standards.
- Clear understanding of regulatory requirements (national and international).
- Application of statistical tools and usage of MS Excel
Education and Experience:
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in applied sciences (fisheries, veterinary, agriculture, or food technology) from a reputed college or university. Passed in, preferably first class.)
- A post-graduate degree or diploma in a technical subject or management is desirable but not essential.
- 15+ years’ experience in quality assurance with at least 6 years in a managerial position
- 3–4 years of on-the-ground factory QA experience are a must.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in the fish and seafood industry (multi-species, long-tail fish, cephalopods, Vannamei, crab meat)
- Understanding of working with your own as well as third-party processors.
Requirements Technical Skills:
