Profile Summary |
The Executive Director based at Anand would be required to work closely with various State Cooperative Dairy Federations and Unions, State Governments, Central Government and International Institutions, Senior External Partners and Directors of Subsidiary Companies of NDDB.
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership in respect of Engineering, Product and Process Development, Quality Assurance, Dairy Plant Management, Digitalization in Dairy & Allied Agriculture sector. |
Key roles and Responsibility |
The incumbent will be responsible for providing direction/guidance for strategic organisational plans and their implementation in dairy and allied agriculture activities, translate organizational strategy into long-term engineering and dairy processing roadmaps, establish governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics, oversee planning, design, execution, commissioning, and modernization of dairy plants and utilities, lead capacity expansion, greenfield/brownfield projects, automation, and digitalization initiatives, ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and energy efficiency norms, provide leadership to Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS, Codex, ISO, HACCP, GMP, and other applicable standards, promote a culture of quality, food safety, and consumer trust across all operations, lead innovation in product development, value-added dairy products, and process optimization, encourage adoption of new technologies in processing, packaging, shelf-life enhancement, and sustainability, oversee pilot plants, trials, scale-up activities, and technology transfers, drive sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction, ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, identify operational, technical, and regulatory risks and implement mitigation strategies, champion ESG and responsible dairy processing practices. |
Qualification & Experience |
Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology / Dairy Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering, Food Technology with Management background and with at least 25 years of work experience of which the candidate should have worked for at least 5 years in a senior leadership position reporting to Managing Director/Executive Director.
The applicant would need to be a senior management professional who has experience in handling large scale dairy development projects, experience of entire dairy value chain, expertise in project management, automation, understanding and exposure to national and international best practices in dairy and food processing, in-depth knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks, strong understanding of dairy processing technologies, utilities, and cold chain systems and financial acumen in capital budgeting and cost optimization. |

Remarks |
The basic salary of the Executive Director shall be fixed in the pay matrix 15 with a minimum basic of Rs. 1,82,200/-. Allowances and other benefits shall be payable as per the rules of NDDB.
