Key responsibilities

As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our food processing and packing operations. Key responsibilities include:

Online Quality:

Daily interaction with production staff to ensure quality standards are met.
Monitor and analyse quality performance on the production line.
Conduct quality control on incoming and outgoing products & materials.
Prepare detailed QC reports.
Share and discuss them with stakeholders.
Recognize, rectify, and pursue resolutions for non-conformities in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.

BRCGS Food Safety Compliance:
Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal and third-party audits (BRCGS, FSSAI, halal).
Manage the quality assurance of raw materials and packaging materials.
Implement and enhance food safety and quality systems.
Organise, optimise, and monitor document flow and control.
Plan, order, and follow up on external lab analyses.
Perform warehouse and stock inspections.
Prepare and update SOPs and work instructions.
Lead and launch specific improvement projects.
Supplier evaluation, audit and review Give formal and informal training to the production team

NPD and R&D Projects:
Drive the technical side of New Product Development (NPD) and Research & Development (R&D) projects.
Apply innovative approaches to product and quality enhancements.
Coordinate and evaluate outcomes of NPD lab testing.
Lead and oversee product and quality aspects of R&D initiatives.
Evaluate and report on the progress of NPD projects.
Participate in Nutritional Information Panel (NIP) & Nutriscore calculations.

Requirements
Relevant higher education degree in food technology, processing, or quality management.
Proficient in professional spoken and written English & Marathi/Hindi.
Strong computer skills (Google Workspace).
3-8 years of experience in the food industry, out of which at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role Experience with BRCGS food safety management (or another other GFSI grade certificate).
Eager and fast learner with good communication skills.
Detail-oriented inclination and commitment to implementing strict food safety and quality standards.
Enthusiastic and constructive attitude within a diverse team. Broad interest in food processing, manufacturing, and quality management. Familiarity with quality management methods and systems (PDCA, DMAIC, Kaizen, LSS, RCA, DOE).
