Sr. Executive/JM/AM – Regulatory Affairs (Packaging Devpl) – Parle Mumbai

Role & responsibilities:

Domestic Food laws-FSSAI/ BIS-
Knowledge of Food Science/ Nutrition science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Life science
Knowledge of Food Regulations (FSSAI) & FSSAI Act.
Knowledge of Food Safety Management system/ VEGAN/ORGANIC etc.
Knowledge of Product & Ensure label Nutritional Information & Artwork claims comply with existing regulations across the product categories / Kind of Businesses (in case of licensing) and align with stakeholders e.g. Legal, R&D, unit etc.
Responsible for going through each FSSAIs draft and providing comments/ suggestions/ Representation keeping in mind the interest of the organization.
Dossier & documentation preparation for various forums like CII, FICCI and other Export/Import related issues on behalf of the organization.
Review of Internal Standards against FSSAI norms & Comments for new proposals to present at various food industry forums.
Providing a scientific reasoning to various regulations/project an industry point of view by discussing with industry peers and internal key stakeholders on various legislations

Knowledge of Global Food regulations such as- CODEX, USFDA, EU, FSANZ, GSO etc. to ensure the compliance of respective food categories.
Assistance & support for food regulations in terms of compliance of Labelling, Weights & measurement for exports/Import product categories.
Technical Assistance & Communication for the resolution of consumer complaints/queries received from Importers by providing necessary info / certifications as per the need.
Ability to discuss about regulatory changes in other countries and inform quality/R&D teams/overseas teams about changes
Update internal stakeholders on changes in laws / regulations, SOP formation etc.

Basic knowledge of LM (PCR) rules, Weight & measurement Act and other OIML.
Assistance & support for Labelling, Weights & measurement for Domestic & exports product categories.
Know about the role of Consumer affairs in Food Industry.
Assistance & Communication for the resolution of consumer complaints/Market complaints related to Legal Metrology by providing necessary info/ certifications.
Provide comments / suggestions on any changes in Legal metrology requirements
Providing a scientific reasoning to various regulations/project an industry point of view by discussing with industry peers and internal key stakeholders on various legislations

Responsible for implementing theories and concepts related to Sustainability with respect to companies prospective.
Global Regulation and practices updates on sustainability for implementation w.r.t. to plastics in the organization.
Development of Sustainability plan as per companys requirements
Develop point of views with rationale and represent at industry associations for the same
Communicating with all stakeholders on Sustainability (internal & External).

Bachelor/ Masters degree in Life science/ Food science/ food Technology/Nutrition science/ Regulations
Good verbal & written Communication skills
Good Presentation skill
