Your Focus
As an Analyst you will be supporting handling of EHS activity of a manufacturing facility. You will be support implementing IFF’s core values, safety principles & standards, various 1st party auditing & 1st, 2nd & 3rd party audit action implementation related to EHS function as well as site legal and regulatory requirements related to EHS. Ensure active & timely participation of site team on various core value related activities throughout the year and will be supporting site QA/QC function based on the need and requirement.
The role is Gurgaon (Sohna) based and will report to site Quality and EHS Manager.
How You Will Contribute
- Guide and drive Team for EHS excellence through EHS program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on Zero recordable injuries / environmental deviations.
- Monitor the use and inventories of EHS supplies, equipment and take corrective actions/guide team when necessary.
- Establish and ensure effectiveness of EHS system for tracking ACTION ITEMS related to site EHS activities.
- Supervise & guide plant personnel to perform their allocated tasks with fulfilling the EHS requirements.
- Ensure that site team members are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the EHS program(s) can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
- Communicate regularly with all SITE team members, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning EHS issues.
- Ensure training document/manuals are updated for the EHS department.
- Ensure that all SITE TEAM are trained on the most updated version of the EHS policies and procedures.
- Review the site activities and SOP constantly, to achieve 0 injuries and illness, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Initiate and carry out projects that improve EHS and/or reduce operating costs.
- Responsible for budgeting and procurement of EHS materials/services for smooth functioning of the department.
- Work with sourcing to qualify new vendors as per IFF’s Standards.
- Ensure the department’s functioning as per full compliance with applicable Legal, regulations / ISO / FSSC standards / procedures.
- Ensure and Track RTO compliance related to site.
- Support and implement the food safety requirement.
- Support site QA/QC function when needed.
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical / food technology / environmental / mechanical / or any other relevant discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of industrial and professional experience in Food or FMCG industry with team supervisory experience.
- Operations management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration and project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead cultural change and create winning teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well versed with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Presentation).
- Ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions.
- Previous operations experience with Safety, Food Safety, FAMI-QS, ISO 14001, and Process Safety regulations is highly regarded.
