About the Job – Food Safety Officer – Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission – Government Food Technology Government Jobs
Qualifications: ) A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technolog or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Vaterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognised University, or any other equivalent/recognised qualification notified by the Central Government.
(2) After selection the candidate has successfully completed the training as specified by the food Authority in a recognised institute or Institution approved for the purpose:
Provided that no person who has any financial interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety Officer under relevant rules
Equivalent Qualification:- A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or Doctorate degree from a recognized University or institution in the following disciplines :-
Disciplines “Food Technology”
(I) Food Engineering
(ii) Food Engineering and Technology
(iii) Food Processing and Preservation
(iv) Food Processing Technology
(v) Food Technology and Management
(vi) Food Biotechnology
(vii) Food Plant Operations Management
(viii) Food Process Engineering and Management
(ix) Food Processing
(x) Food Safety and Quality Management
(xi) Process and Food Engineering
Disciplines deemed to be covered under“Agricultural Science”
(I) Agriculture
(ii) Agriculture Engineering
(iii) Biotechnology
(iv) Dairy Technology
(v) Fisheries
(vi) Food Technology

Preferential: – A candidate who has (1) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (2) obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C. shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.
