Purpose of the role
The Scientist II role involves influencing the business on technical feasibility, bringing new ideas to life through prototyping and a consumer first design mindset, strong collaboration among the O&T team, and developing a solid technical understanding of product development and technology to bring these products to market.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead renovation and innovation projects to drive business growth on allocated product portfolio
  • Design, develop and commercialize products that meet all consumer, business and manufacturing constraints
  • Develop and commercialize products that deliver all quality and local regulation constraints
  • Development and execution of robust technical plans to effectively manage and mitigate technical risks
  • Effectively manage projects to deliver against all CPW milestones
  • Successful partnership with operations to take projects from idea through the steps needed to commercialize
  • Drive HMM ideas, qualify them and execute in support of business growth
  • Develop and commercialize products with targeted delivered margin
  • Actively participate in identification of products technical performance issues, proactively provide technical solutions to resolve issues
  • Ensure core food safety design principles through product development and adhere to Food safety policy requirements for R&D
  • Work with suppliers, ESCs and other technical partners to bring differential and innovative solutions/technologies to GMI to drive advantage
  • Develop, maintain ingredients and finished product specifications content

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Masters in Food & Allied Science, Technology
  • 4-5 Years of work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters in Food & Allied Science, Technology
  • 4-5 Years of work experience
